Living in Dune Allen
Dune Allen Beach sits at the west end of Scenic Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, with Topsail Hill Preserve State Park on one side and Blue Mountain Beach on the other. It has been a vacation spot for generations and is still mostly residential, with homes tucked among the dunes and along its coastal dune lakes.
Oyster Lake, shaped like an oyster shell and once full of oysters, is usually open to the Gulf of America, and a walking bridge crosses it. Allen Lake and Stallworth Lake are close by, and Campbell Lake lies inside Topsail Hill Preserve. Coastal dune lakes are among the rarest landforms in the world.
